Man, I feel like I haven’t had a chance to sit down all week…it’s been so crazy! I made it to the second round of the Ultimate Digiscrapper contest, which totally surprised me cause I didn’t think my layout was any good. So I was pretty happy about that. Tried to work on the second round layout last Monday, but my computer got taken over by Chris who was editing photos for his photography class. You can see them here.. I was kinda frustrated about that, especially since I had been talkin all the way home from work about doing my layout that night and not waiting until the last minute like the first round.
Tuesday was fight night. Big argument over the chores not getting done now that I’ve gone back to work. After we calmed down and talked about it rationally, we divided up the chores, and then worked till about 10 to get the house into some sort of order.
Wednesday Chris was having all sorts of issues at work that he had to attend to, so didn’t come home until about 8:30. I rushed out at 5, went grocery shopping with all the other crazy people forced to do so after work, got home changed clothes, and then mowed the lawn, which I managed to do in two hours instead of the normal 3. It did look slightly better when I was done, but only slightly. And I missed the first half of Bones (must get TiVO)
Thursday was another rough day for Chris, and since we had driven in together, I was stuck there until he was done, which was about 7. Not much fun, since I still don’t have a whole lot of work to be done. Worked on chores, then only had enough energy left to watch CSI.
Friday we managed to get home at a reasonable hour, and I went to work on my layout for round 2. The theme was “how you see yourself through your own eyes”. After playing around with a couple of ideas, I finally came up with something I was happy with…totally by accident! Ended up being very happy with my layout, which is rare for me. Go on over and take a look. Of course I got it uploaded and found several errors…the biggest being the red text in the border got cut off. I would fix it, but we’re not supposed to change our layout once it’s been posted.
Saturday we headed out to Albany to visit with my Aunt and Uncle, and then get together with some of our friends from college. Was a good time. Today on the way home, Chris and I were talking about what projects we wanted to do around the house this summer. He decided that it was time we redid the upstairs bathroom, before people come to visit us in July. So we stopped at Home Depot on the way home to start pricing what that’s going to cost us. The answer is way too much. Also got the brick we needed to finish the walkway.
So that’s been my busy week. Hope I didn’t bore you all too badly.
