I woke up this morning, looked down at my feet, and was completely surprised at how large my ankles and feet were. I actually wondered if I had managed to sprain my right ankle yesterday and just hadn’t noticed. It was easily the size of my knee. I kind of tentatively rolled it around, and there was no pain, just a whole lot of swelling. I tried to put my birkenstocks on, which are the only shoes I’ve been able to wear for a while now because of the swelling, and they were a real tight fit. Had to loosen the straps up a lot. I will be glad when this pregnancy side effect goes away.
Here’s a picture of my feet from this morning, and for comparison, the same shot from a year and a half ago.

So, do we need to wonder why you were taking a picture of your feet a year and a half ago?

At the scrapbooking site I used to frequent, there was an challenge to do a layout about shoes. Since I am not the stereotypical woman with a hundred pair of fancy high heels, I took a picture of my feet of the one pair of shoes I wear all summer (when I even bother to wear shoes).

Ah, the joys of pregnancy. My sister had similar problems, but somehow I managed to avoid that one.
