Thursday’s interview went fairly well. The job was completely different and much more interesting than I had expected it to be based on the limited job description I had been provided. I keep wavering on whether this is a position that would fit me or not. Their long term goals for the position and my long term goals don’t seem to be lining up. Their definition of long and mine also didn’t agree. I’m not sure any of that matters. Must do more thinking about that. In any case, they’re supposed to call me back by Tuesday if they want to bring me in for a second interview.
Didn’t hear anything last week from the first company I interviewed with. I’ll poke them Monday and see what’s going on. They had told me that they were planning on making their decision by the end of last week.
Still haven’t gotten an interview time from the third company. I’m not really sure how to handle this. At this point I’m leaning towards leaving them alone, and letting them call me if they’re truly interested. They knew I had other options I was pressing, so if they can’t get on the ball and do something to make this happen, then it’s their own fault.
So that’s where it all stands at the moment. Hopefully next week I’ll have some more news to report.
