Since some of the features of the gallery are working, I was able to upload the pictures from our Texas trip.

Our hosting company upgraded our server yesterday, which means that we’ve been having some issues since then. Mostly with the gallery. We’re working with them to resolve the issues, and hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.

I was going to make a blog post with pictures about our trip to TX last week, but our gallery seems to be nonexistent so I can’t upload the pictures. We’ll try and get it fixed soon.

Our trip was ok overall, but way too short. We had planned on it being a short trip, but between the weather delays and the stomach flu I developed just before take-off, we ended up getting there about 18 hrs after we were planning on.

We spent what was left of Saturday afternoon visiting with Chris’s aunt, uncle and cousin before taking Chris’s grandmother out for dinner. She was so happy to be able to meet Nate. Sunday we spent some more time visiting with G-Ma. She loved being able to introduce Nate to everyone at the nursing home. In the evening we hung out with Jonny playing with the Wii and Guitar Hero on the Xbox. Monday we stopped in for another quick visit with G-Ma before heading back to the airport. We ended up having a delay on the way home, but that turned out ok because it meant we didn’t have to wait as long in Chicago.

Nate figured out three things today

• Climb up the step from the family room in to the kitchen
• pull to a standing position on a short object like the bathtub
• Splash water everywhere while taking a bath

It was a very productive day.

now if i can only convince my computer that the time has changed, I’ll be all set.

Nate turned 9 months old today, so I took his monthly picture with the bear. It was much harder this time…he kept crawling away before I could snap the picture. I ended up with a lot of shots that looked like this

I haven’t weighed him recently, or stood him up against the wall to get his height, but he goes to his checkup on Thursday, so I’ll have the statistics soon. He does have 4 teeth now, and the next two on top are about ready to emerge. He’s commando crawling everywhere and exploring everything, so baby-proofing has begun. He’s also gotten the hang of propelling himself along when he sits on his little car thing, and can even make slight steering adjustments when he runs into something. If I stand him up, he can hold on to the furniture and keep his balance, but hasn’t started to creep along yet.

A couple of months ago I joined the MOMS Club of Cazenovia as a way to meet more moms with young kids. It’s been good for me, as it gives me a reason to get out of the house with Nate for more than just going to the grocery store, and I’ve met some really nice people.

Yesterday at the monthly business meeting I agreed to help them with their website. It’s not a horrible website, although it could use a better layout. The main problem right now is that the site is not coming up in any web searches, so no one can find it. I submitted it to several search engines yesterday, so hopefully people should be able to find it soon.

I am looking for some sort of program to organize my recipes and help me create menu plans and shopping lists. Is anyone using this type of software, and would you recommend it?

Nate wouldn’t take a nap this morning, and the result was falling asleep about half an hour ago in his exersauscer. This is the first time he’s fallen asleep someplace odd.

Today Nate declared that pants are not required if you’re wearing your winter hat.

He would not allow me to put his pants back on after I changes his diaper this afternoon.
